Deliciousness in every mouthful
Today we bought lots of yummy deliciousness - mince pies, sausage rolls, fruity scones, savoury Chelsea buns, Christmas cake.......
The mince pies were very well received by my other half as was a fruity scone.
This evening a piece of Christmas cake was met with lots of appreciative noises. I have sliced the cake and given strict instructions it has to last until xmas.....I'm not sure it will.
For years we have always had Lewis & Cooper Christmas cakes but I have to say this cake is beautiful and a much better cake. Very fruity and moist with just the right amount of marzipan and icing.
A big thank you to The Moody Bakers wife who spent last night icing the cakes. Well worth the late night so thank you.
Good luck with your business you really were a lovely guy and obviously passionate about food.  Keep baking.

Tam Coops - Marton

Visited the Moody Baker Shop today in Barnard Castle, the variety of food and drink was amazing, all well presented, but the best was to be served by the happiest guy I have known to serve me in a shop, we were greeted and offered information on the drinks. Already had one of the wonderful scones and it was to die for. I will certainly be back next time we are in the area. Thank you for making my day. Sonia Carr - Bishop Auckland

I came across this shop when passing through Barnard Castle and I had to go in after seeing how nice the products looked in the window. Upon entering it's like stepping into a wonderland of delicacies. They had so many gorgeous looking loaves of bread as well as pastries I came away with three different loaves and pastries for my family to try and I have to admit they are truly wonderful and the taste sublime. If you are passing nearby it is definitely worth making the detour to visit this shop. You won't be disappointed.  Marie Nicholson - Thirsk
